About The Position

AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is opening a 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital later this year in Galloway, New Jersey. This hospital will serve patients in southeastern New Jersey and is led by a physiatrist. The team includes rehabilitation nurses, physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists, dietitians, case managers, and other clinical and support staff. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with various conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Requirements

• One (1) year cooking experience required.
• Ability to accept and understand both verbal and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests.
• Assist with general cleaning of the cooking and eating areas.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Manager, ensuring adherence to facility and departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper sanitation, safety, and infection control policies are followed.
• Provide high-quality food preparation and service.
• Clean and maintain equipment to meet department standards.
• Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control.
• Demonstrate a willingness to help with work that needs to be done.
• Take initiative to identify problems and bring about positive and sustainable solutions.
