About The Position
The Cook supervises the hot food production and other areas for the hospital's Dietary Department. As a “Cook” you will ensure meal service demands are met and customer approval ratings are high. You will participate in creating menus, purchasing foods, controlling food costs and maintaining a sanitary work environment. This role requires demonstrating leadership skills.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Formal training in food preparation preferred
- 3-5 years experience
- Proven culinary skills
- Some training in food preparation
- Good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Organizational and planning skills to coordinate all areas of food production
