Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain or maintain a Food Handler Certification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Current TB test
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- A passion for cooking and providing excellent customer service
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (bilingual is a plus)
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and quality
Nice To Haves
- Food service experience preferred
- Healthcare or senior living experience is a plus
- Senior living, assisted living, healthcare, hospitality, or restaurant experience
Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and recipes
- Ensuring food is cooked and served at appropriate temperatures
- Preparing, plating, and serving meals, snacks, and beverages
- Maintaining food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Properly storing food and supplies to ensure freshness and safety
- Assisting with kitchen cleaning and sanitation
- Washing dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Supporting special events and community gatherings
- Following all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements
- Creating a welcoming dining experience for residents
