About The Position
Prepares nutritious meals for inmates as mandated by law. Maintains a sanitary environment with the help of inmate workers under the Cook's supervision.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in Quantity food production required.
- Requires a valid driver's license and adequate insurance as required by County Policy.
Responsibilities
- Prepares food for inmates and staff.
- Prepares trays to go to inmate populations, according to floor counts.
- Maintains a sanitary kitchen with the help of inmate workers under the Cook's supervision.
- Rotates stock and places food orders in correct storage areas.
- Instruct inmates in proper sanitation of dishes and equipment.
- Verifies special meals for special diets and prepares them.
- Informs Food Service Manager of problems involved with kitchen operation.
