Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks for all classrooms in full compliance with Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) standards.
- Strictly adhere to Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines and maintaining accurate, real-time documentation via KidKare for state record-keeping.
- Manage food inventory, procurement, meal preparation, and rigorous daily kitchen sanitation protocols to meet health and safety regulations.
- Carefully accommodate and document special dietary needs and individual food allergies as outlined in each child’s care plan.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
- Perform routine equipment and temperature checks.
- Provide flexible support to classroom staff or the administrative front desk as needed, ensuring a professional, collaborative, and compliant atmosphere that directly supports the health and well-being of the children in our care.
