About The Position

The Shores, a United Methodist Communities senior living community, is hiring a Cook for our dining team. This role involves creating and preparing quality meals that are appealing, well-balanced, and served promptly to residents and guests. The Cook will maintain safe food handling practices, use standardized recipes, assist with meal service across various venues, and help maintain an organized, sanitary, and safety-focused kitchen environment. Contributing to a positive dining experience through teamwork and attention to detail is also key.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• 1–2 years of cooking or meal preparation experience
• Able to read recipes and safety instructions and communicate with the care team in English
• Requires a drug test and background check
• Flu vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions may be requested
• Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
• Applicants may be subject to a background check.
