The Cook prepares food in accordance with menus, diet specifications, resident preference, and sanitary practices under the supervision of the Food and Nutrition Services Manager or Dining Services Manager. This role is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food, ensuring it meets quality standards for presentation, taste, and texture. The Cook also monitors food temperatures, manages food supplies, maintains a clean and safe work area, and ensures proper food storage and handling according to guidelines. Additionally, the Cook assists with special meal planning, equipment checks, and adheres to facility safety protocols. The role also involves demonstrating company core values, supporting a dignified atmosphere, protecting resident and company confidentiality, and maintaining a safe work environment.
