About The Position

Juniper Communities is seeking an experienced Cook to assist the Executive Chef/Dining Services Director with meal preparation and provide excellent customer service in a senior living community. The role involves short-order scratch cooking, efficient vegetable preparation, following recipes and tickets, and maintaining cleanliness and high sanitation standards while working. The Cook prepares meals for residents, associates, and visitors and may support special events. Full-time or part-time shifts are available; every other weekend and rotating holidays are required. Pay starts at $20 per hour, with an increased wage offered based on experience. Requirements

High school diploma and experience in culinary arts or food service.
Ability to handle 50–60 covers per hour.
Ability to follow written recipes and written and verbal directions.
Ability to understand and execute tickets.
Knowledge of volume food preparation.
Knowledge of and ability to operate food service equipment.
Experience with short-order scratch cooking and efficiently dicing, slicing, and chopping vegetables.

Responsibilities

Prepare meals for residents, associates, and visitors.
Assist in coordinating effective communication among the dining team and resident assistants.
Work with the Connections Director and Director of Sales and Marketing to plan and implement special events.
Maintain necessary records and complete administrative paperwork as required.
Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, and equipment safety.
Clean while working and maintain sanitation standards.
Provide excellent customer service.
