About The Position
Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Cooks for a long-term care nursing facility in Montclair, NJ. This is a full-time and part-time position. Previous experience in a Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare setting is required. Walk-ins are welcome to fill out an application in person.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
- Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
Responsibilities
- Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
- Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains standards of cleanliness.
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
- Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
- Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
