About The Position

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Cooks for long-term care nursing facilities in Johnson City, NY. We have full-time and part-time positions available. This role involves preparing food according to standardized recipes, serving meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and potentially managing the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director. We are looking for individuals with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in large-scale cooking, specifically within a nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare setting. ServSafe certification is preferred or will be obtained after hiring.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.

Nice To Haves

ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.

Responsibilities

Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness.
Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
