About The Position
Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116-bed facility in the Kingwood community, about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. It provides 24-hour emergency services and psychiatric and behavioral health care for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as intensive outpatient and partial hospital programs. The Cook prepares and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two years of experience in quantity cooking preferred.
- Basic knowledge of modified diets.
- Training in food service sanitation and possession of a food handler’s permit, as required.
- Experience using industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.
