About The Position

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Cooks for long-term care nursing facilities in Castleton-On-Hudson, NY. This role involves preparing and serving meals to residents, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and managing the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with shifts including day and evening, and alternating weekends and holidays. Previous experience in a nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare setting is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.

Nice To Haves

ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.

Responsibilities

Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness.
Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
