Cook - Day Shift
About The Position
Cura of Watkins is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our food service team. In this role, you will prepare and cook meals that meet the nutritional requirements of our patients and staff while ensuring food safety and quality. You will work closely with the dietary team to support the health and wellness initiatives of Cura of Watkins by delivering wholesome and tasty meals in a timely manner. If you are passionate about cooking and enjoy working in a healthcare environment, we invite you to apply. This position is part time with about 40 hours per pay period. This position includes every other weekend and holiday.
Requirements
- Experience as a Cook.
- Understanding of nutrition and dietary restrictions.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Good time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of kitchen work, including standing for long periods.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and assemble meals according to planned menus and dietary standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work areas and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering kitchen supplies as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen and dietary team members.
- Adapt meal preparation to meet special dietary needs and preferences.
