About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Boulevard St Peters. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $19.25 per hour and a shift schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. As a Culinary Craftsman, you will be responsible for preparing all menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring exceptional quality, attractive presentation, and timely service. You will also ensure health protocols are followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures. Additionally, you will familiarize yourself with residents' preferences and needs, acting as a Culinary Connector.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the areas of leadership, training, and supervision.
Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable being in close contact with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Ability to work primarily indoors, but also be available to work outside for events.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Preparing all menu items according to established standards and recipes.
Providing exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion.
Ensuring health protocols are always followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures.
Familiarizing yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs.
Participating in resident orientations.
