About The Position

AdCare of Rhode Island American Addiction Centers is seeking a Cook to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing food in compliance with sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards. The Cook will also manage food and supply inventory and contribute to quality assurance. AdCare Rhode Island is a 59-bed inpatient alcohol and drug treatment center focused on providing transformational recovery experiences. The facility is located in North Kingstown, RI, and offers a state-of-the-art campus with amenities like semi-private rooms, a fitness center, and a basketball court.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of two years experience in food production required.
All positions require a TST, MMR Titer, the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and satisfactory criminal background records check.

Nice To Haves

Serve Safe Certificate preferred.
Experience in preparing and serving food in an institutional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares and presents breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
Creates and posts daily menus.
Keeps work area neat and clean at all times; cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation, dishwasher, refrigerators, ovens, etc.
Keeps track of food and supplies inventory.
Prepares shopping list for purchasing coordinator.
Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures for quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests; when applicable.
