About The Position

AdCare of Rhode Island, part of American Addiction Centers, is seeking a Cook for a full-time position. This role is crucial in providing quality, compassionate, and innovative care to adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. The facility is a 59-bed inpatient alcohol and drug treatment center located on 22 acres in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The newly renovated facility offers semi-private rooms, a fitness center, and a basketball court. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of two years experience in food production required.
All positions require a TST, MMR Titer, the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and satisfactory criminal background records check.

Nice To Haves

Serve Safe Certificate preferred.
Experience in preparing and serving food in an institutional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards following established food production programs and procedures.
Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to ensure loss, waste, and fraud is minimized.
Prepares and presents breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
Creates and posts daily menus.
Keeps work area neat and clean at all times; cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation, dishwasher, refrigerators, ovens, etc.
Keeps track of food and supplies inventory.
Prepares shopping list for purchasing coordinator.
Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures for quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests; when applicable.
