As the Cook, you’ll prepare meals, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and ensure all food is handled safely and in compliance with regulations. Each day, you play a role in fueling children’s growth and supporting their well-being.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Prior experience in food service, childcare, or institutional meal preparation.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices required, including the ability to pass a background check and complete ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to meet all state and local health department requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • Prioritize cleanliness, food safety, and attention to detail in everything you do.
  • Are organized and take pride in maintaining a well-run, safe workspace.
  • Are dependable, consistent, and take ownership of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks that fuel children’s growth and day.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for every child.
  • Manage inventory and supplies to keep everything stocked and ready.
  • Support children’s needs by accommodating allergies and dietary requirements.
