About The Position

Rocky Mountain Care- Evanston is currently seeking a Part-time Evening Dietary Cook to work in our Culinary Services department. This position involves preparing delicious meals for residents, likely 3-4 shifts per week, totaling about 15-20 hours per week. The role offers training for the right candidate and is described as a rewarding, entry-level position in the healthcare industry.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Food handler permit
  • High school diploma
  • Current/ Active Food Handlers Permit
  • Must be 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Food service experience is preferred, but not required
  • One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).

Responsibilities

  • Prepares food for meal service according to the menu.
  • Operates institutional food preparation equipment according to the manufacturer and supervisory direction.
  • Follows proper cleaning and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Caters to resident food allergies and preferences.
  • Attend in-service education programs as assigned.
  • Empties trash containers.
  • Performs cleaning tasks as scheduled.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
