About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) - Pediatrics position is a full-time role located in Evanston, IL. The hourly pay rate ranges from $19.89 to $28.84, determined by factors such as candidate expertise and years of experience. The role involves greeting patients, documenting vital signs and medical information, providing front office support, performing basic vitals, and potentially phlebotomy and injections. Travel to other sites may be required based on department needs. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
- One year of work experience required
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
- previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.
- On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to exam room
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- Provide front office support as needed
- Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
- Phlebotomy and injections may be required
