About The Position

Aramark is looking for a cook for the Bishop’s University food service. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, including daytime and evening shifts. The schedule may vary during the summer season. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food service or restaurant environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Autonomy in completing tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours
  • Excellent customer service
  • Positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Catering preparation experience
  • MAPAQ Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
  • Diploma in culinary arts

Responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare various food items following production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Prepare the daily menu
  • Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment; prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling
  • Ensure quantities are respected and that quality meets Aramark standards
  • Demonstrate creativity while meeting client needs
  • Optimize food costs
  • Participate in service
  • Complete production, temperature, waste, and other related logs
  • Participate in inventory counts
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in accordance with applicable legislation, company policies and procedures, and M.A.P.A.Q. standards
