About The Position

This role is responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, preparing food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The Cook will work closely with other staff members to maintain efficient restaurant operations and uphold the company's standards for quality and service.

Requirements

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
Possess exceptional grooming habits.
Possess excellent basic math skills.
Have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests as they enter.
Greet guests upon arriving at the table.
Make all guests feel comfortable and ensure they are personally taken care of.
Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
Be knowledgeable of meals and substitutions.
Make recommendations to guests.
Answer questions about food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
Prepare coffee and tea when a line assistant is not present.
Prepare toast when a toast assistant is not present.
Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner.
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required.
Maintain clean service areas, including tables, seats, floor, and windows/walls after each guest.
Monitor and observe guests' dining experience.
Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.
Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
Prepare the final bill, present it to the guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change.
Be available and willing to assist co-workers as situations arise.
Pre-bus tables and assist with final clearing and cleaning of tables.
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
