About The Position

Windsor Manor Webster City is hiring a dependable, experienced Cook to join our senior living Dining Services team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in restaurants, food service, healthcare kitchens, assisted living, senior living, or hospitality who enjoys preparing quality meals and creating a positive dining experience. Senior living experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Current manager-level food handler permit required
Strong time-management and organizational skills
Dependable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and kitchen safety
Must successfully complete required background screening
Must follow company Drug-Free Workplace policies

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of cooking or related food-service experience preferred
Basic computer skills preferred
Senior living experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare attractive, delicious meals according to established recipes and menus
Help create an enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests
Prepare meals while following portion standards, recipes, and food-cost guidelines
Assist with day-to-day kitchen operations under the direction of the Dining Services Director and Chef/Lead Cook
Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
Assist with cleaning dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
Monitor proper temperatures and sanitation procedures to support food safety
Interact with residents and team members in a friendly, professional manner
Complete additional duties as assigned
