About The Position

Will manage residential referrals for detox, short-term residential, and long-term residential units, manage single residency occupants (SRO) recovery apartment admissions and provide office coverage.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Attain/maintain certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and CPR/FA during employment.
  • Must have active food handlers card/training or be eligible.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions such as menus, recipes, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Child Adult Day Care Food Program (CACFP) helpful but not required (will train).

Responsibilities

  • Cooks food stuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
  • Prepares, packs, and ensures delivery of lunch to off site programs per contract guidelines.
  • Prepares and serves meals to residential clients.
  • Completes appropriate documentation for Child Adult Day Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines and training.
  • Reads menu to estimate food requirements for residential clients and off site programs.
  • Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe, using variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blenders, mixers, grinders and or/ slicers.
  • Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking, according to personal judgment and experience.
  • Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked.
  • May prepare and cook separate individual meals for residential clients and/or off site clients requiring special diets due to religion and/or medical needs.
  • Washes dishes, cleans and maintains work areas, equipment (broken down and cleaned and put back together) and utensils.
  • Sweeps and mops floors per Health department standards.
  • Removes and disposes of garbage per program guidelines.
