About The Position

As a Cook at Sunrise Senior Living, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that contribute to the health and enjoyment of residents. This role involves maintaining a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment while adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. You will play a key part in creating a positive dining experience for residents and supporting the overall operations of the dining services department.

Requirements

• Ability to prepare high-quality meals.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Skills in stocking, rotating, dating, and storing food.
• Ability to maintain a clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Familiarity with cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Line Cook.
• Experience in Senior Living Dining.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards.
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures.
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations.
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed.
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator.
