This role is responsible for preparing and producing menu items to established standards in a quick and efficient manner. The cook will prepare a variety of food items including salads, appetizers, beef, poultry, and seafood. Key duties involve preparing, cooking, and seasoning all food, controlling food production in all work areas, and expediting food orders for customers. The position also requires adherence to kitchen maintenance and sanitation programs, maintaining assigned stations and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition, and working overtime when required. Team members are expected to follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, which involves proactively greeting guests and fellow team members, maintaining awareness of their surroundings, and presenting a professional appearance. Participation in mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions is also required. The ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team is essential, as is the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. The cook must be able to respond to visual and aural cues and work a varied schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed. Other duties may be assigned.
