About The Position
Milestone Recovery is here to provide the best quality of services to empower individuals with substance use and behavioral health disorders to attain stability, dignity, recovery, and an enhanced quality of life. Milestone Extended Care in Old Orchard Beach is a clinically managed, 21-bed, 9-month residential program for men, which uses a range of evidence-based treatment modalities. The Cook Position Profile is responsible for meal planning and preparation for Extended Care Residents and general kitchen upkeep.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A valid Maine state driver’s license is required
- A minimum of 1 year of institutional cooking experience

Responsibilities
- Prepare lunch and dinner meals for 21 Extended care clients
- Keep kitchen, dining area and food storage clean, organized and in good condition
- Follow all state and federal food safety regulations
- Control and log temperatures for all equipment
- Stay within established budget for the food service
- Execute a weekly menu
- Obtain necessary supplies for the kitchen when needed
- Attend occasional program staff meetings and appropriate trainings
- Engage with clients in the planning and preparation of meals
- Perform other duties as assigned.
