About The Position

The Cook follows standardized recipes and diagrams accurately, consistently preparing high quality food items in required amounts for the designated service area. The role involves setting up and organizing the work area for preparing current day's food items with all appropriate ingredients and equipment.

Requirements

  • An individual who can read, write, and understand sufficient English to perform the requirements of the position.
  • One year experience in quantity food production in a restaurant or institutional environment.
  • Demonstrated competency regarding food preparation and service.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations.
  • Ability to consistently use creativity in the performance of food preparation.
  • Employee must demonstrate age specific competency regarding food preparation and modified diet restrictions.
  • San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire/ transfer.
