Kitchen Service Specialist - Howe Street Kitchen (New Haven)
About The Position
Under the supervision of the Howe Street Kitchen Service Manager, the Cook (Kitchen Service Specialist) will work together in a collaborative fashion, to prepare and cook appetizing and nutritious meals for the clients. The Cook (Kitchen Service Specialist) will also assist with vocational training of clients who are interested in pursuing a career in the food service industry. Working within Adult Services, the Cook (Kitchen Service Specialist) within the Sierra Work Release program works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
- 1 year related experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook appetizing and nutritious meals for clients.
- Assist with vocational training of clients interested in food service careers.
