About The Position
Tucker's Italian is hiring one full time (or two part time) cooks. Tucker's bakes all bread in house, makes handmade pasta, cures meats, and uses a wood-fired grill. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is a scratch kitchen with a menu focused on traditional southern Italian cooking, not meant to be fancy. The restaurant has a good selection of wine and beer on tap, and is located just down the street from the Alamodome, near downtown. They open at 8 AM and close at 9 PM, with staff out before 11 PM. This is the sister restaurant to Il Forno Pizzeria in Southtown. The menu here is more pasta-heavy, and strong sauté skills will be much appreciated.
