Requirements

  • Previous restaurant, country club, hotel, or resort kitchen experience preferred.
  • Passion for cooking and delivering memorable dining experiences.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and quality expectations.
  • Assist with daily preparation, including meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, soups, and desserts.
  • Ensure every plate leaving the kitchen meets Burnt Pine's high culinary standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Properly store, rotate, label, and date all food products following FIFO procedures.
  • Assist with banquet functions, member events, golf tournaments, wine dinners, and seasonal club events.
  • Work efficiently during high-volume meal periods while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking inventory, and minimizing food waste.
  • Support other kitchen stations as needed.
