About The Position

This position is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to company recipes and guidelines, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with inventory and customer service. The role requires adherence to all company policies, procedures, and sanitation guidelines. The job description may be updated with additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of culinary experience
  • 2+ years’ in a commercial kitchen or restaurant
  • Strong communication skills
  • San Diego food handlers’ card or company food handlers’ card within 30 days
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time wisely

Responsibilities

  • Cuts, prepares and cooks food according to company recipes and guidelines
  • Cleans and organizes kitchen area as well as walk-in and freezer
  • Learns, follows and enforces company policies, Kitchen procedures and sanitation guidelines
  • Assists in receiving and unloading of merchandise
  • Takes stock to storage or shelf areas
  • Opens cartons and prices, displays, stores or breaks down items according to established procedures and policies
  • Keeps Manager informed of low inventory conditions or spoilage problems
  • Handles damaged and spoiled products according to Company Policy and assists in controlling the level of damaged goods
  • Assists in preparation of food products
  • Complies fully with all Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Greets all customers and provides them with prompt and courteous service or assistance
