About The Position

Cranfield Academy Cary, part of Endeavor Schools, is seeking a School Cook to manage the school kitchen and ensure it is safe, clean, and organized. The Cook prepares healthy meals and/or snacks for students and helps create menus and order food and other kitchen supplies. The role is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is $16.00–$19.00 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Must adhere to North Carolina childcare sanitation rules.
Food handler certification is required.
Ability to use standard office equipment, such as a computer and/or smartphone.
A genuine interest in working with children.

Responsibilities

Help create menus and order food.
Prepare meals and/or snacks for students.
Order food, paper goods, cleaning supplies, snacks, and other products on a regular schedule to prevent shortages.
Process inventory of kitchen items.
Keep the kitchen organized and clean, including food preparation areas, food containers, refrigerators, and freezers.
Maintain a high level of sanitation and be responsible for inspection with the health department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
