About The Position

Join our Dining Services team as a Cook and help create quality dining experiences for the residents we serve. As a Cook, you'll prepare and coordinate breakfast, lunch, and dinner service while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service. This position offers opportunities to grow into Lead Cook and other supervisory roles within Dining Services. Requirements

1–2 years of culinary experience in a healthcare setting, restaurant, dining facility, or similar environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

Experience with large-scale meal preparation
Experience serving older adults or working in a senior living community

Responsibilities

Set up and organize assigned workstation prior to meal service
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Plan and prepare for upcoming meal services
Ensure products are properly labeled, dated, rotated, and stored according to regulations
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
Safely operate kitchen equipment and machinery
Communicate product shortages, concerns, or inconsistencies to the Chef on Duty
Complete proper closing procedures for assigned station
Collaborate with fellow cooks and dining team members to provide an exceptional dining experience
