About The Position

Our beautiful Cluny Bistro and Boulangerie is actively seeking talented and experienced SENIOR LINE COOKS and LINE COOKS to join our Back of House Team! We’re located in the Distillery Historic District, one of North America's most exciting art and shopping destinations and home to some of the top-ranked restaurants in the City of Toronto. The Distillery Restaurants Corp. is the creator of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits, Madrina Bar y Tapas and Distillery Events. Requirements

  • At least 2 - 8 years’ cooking experience (for Line & Sr. Line Cook roles) in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Graduated with a culinary degree/diploma or it's in process, or equivalent through a combination of education and experience.
  • Genuine passion for food and a drive to create.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills among your team members at the restaurant.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Humble personality coupled with a good sense of humour.
  • Must already have legal permission to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with French cuisine.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing food according to recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set out by our Executive Chef.
  • Infusing care for the customer experience and the restaurant’s reputation in every dish.
  • Operating standard kitchen equipment with caution.
  • Maintaining clean and organized stations.
  • Following FIFO method to maximize product freshness.
  • Moving food products and supplies between outlets when necessary.
  • Reporting any equipment/utensil malfunctions/deficiencies to Chef on duty.
  • Working collaboratively with BOH team members.
  • Being kind and supportive with your colleagues on every shift.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
