About The Position

Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa is seeking Temporary Cook positions for full-time, peak load, temporary employment. This role involves producing consistent, high-quality food products according to recipes, menus, or assigned specials in a timely and organized manner, while ensuring a high level of sanitation and safety at all times. Cooking will take place in a restaurant setting, and adherence to all sanitation policies and procedures is required. The employment period is from 05/1/2026 to 02/28/2027.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Conversational English Required.
  • Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Applicants must complete an employment application.

  • Employer will provide on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

  • Produce consistent high quality food products according to the recipes and menus or assigned specials in a timely, organized manner.

Benefits

  • Overtime available at $29.34 to $31.50 per hour, based on hourly rate.
  • Employer may increase wage based on experience, performance, tenure, and/or market conditions.
  • An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek.
  • Uniform provided at no cost to employee.
  • If employee elects to live in employer-based housing, use of the employee cafeteria is included for all meals at no cost.
  • Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period.
  • If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
  • Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
  • The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved.
  • Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
  • Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker).
  • The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment.
