The Cook is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the organization's food service program through food preparation, meal service, sanitation, inventory handling, and related kitchen operations. This position helps ensure meals are prepared and served in a safe, sanitary, and timely manner while maintaining compliance with applicable food safety standards. Centre, Inc. is seeking individuals interested in the field of culinary arts and food service to join our team as a Cook! This position plays a vital role in ensuring that Centre is able to meet the basic needs of its clients. This position offers flexible hours and hands-on experience. Centre serves clients referred through contracts with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Probation and Pretrial Services, North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, North Dakota Department of Human Services, Veterans Affairs, among others. As an employee of Centre, you will receive ongoing training in Core Correctional Practices, Motivational Interviewing, Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention, and numerous other areas that will allow you to develop the skills and confidence needed to become a successful professional in the field. Centre's training program and protocol adhere to the American Correctional Association's (ACA) Expected Practices for Adult Community Residential Services (4th Edition) standards. The ACA maintains the industry's best and most respected standards in community corrections.
