The Cook is responsible for the preparation and cooking of food items for patients, cafeteria and catering, with emphasis on quality. Follows strict sanitation guidelines set up by the State of Florida Health Department. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned. This opportunity is for a full-time Cook position with Nutrition Services. Prepares and garnish food for patients, cafeteria, and catering services, following standardized recipes. Exhibits equipment utilization/safety, organization, and planning of production in food preparation to meet menu expectations. Follows appropriate menu and production guide for food. Maintains food temperatures through entire preparation cycle. Cleans all work spaces, ovens, fryers, grill, steam kettle, refrigerators, and stove following the posted cleaning schedule. Follows the regulations required by the State, Medicare, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory organization.
