About The Position

Delivering Solutions that Matter: Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, physician-ordered therapeutic diets, and established food safety and sanitation guidelines, including providing approved meal substitutions as needed. Review daily menus prior to meal preparation, verify that all necessary ingredients and supplies are on hand, and assist with maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and sanitary food storage area. Adhere to all applicable food safety, infection prevention, and sanitation policies during meal preparation, service, and routine kitchen operations. Work closely with the dietitian and interdisciplinary care team, including Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), to support residents' nutritional needs and help deliver high-quality care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ year experience as a Cook in a commercial setting
  • Ability to function both independently and as a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred
