About The Position
Still Hopes is a premier continuing care retirement community seeking experienced cooks to join their caring, progressive team. Cooks have a significant impact on residents' lives and the community's culture. This role involves preparing food items according to established standards under the direction of the Executive Chef. The position requires a high standard of cleanliness and safety awareness, experience in a large kitchen, and a good understanding of DHEC kitchen regulations. Applicants must be able to execute basic cooking techniques like grilling, sautéing, braising, and baking. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset.
Requirements
- High standard of cleanliness and safety awareness at all times.
- Experience in a large kitchen.
- Good understanding of DHEC kitchen regulations.
- Ability to execute basic cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, braising, baking etc.
- Team player, solution oriented with a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Food experience in high volume environments such as a hospital, nursing care facility, or school is preferred.
