Cook - PM Shift
About The Position
Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Cook for the PM shift at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center in College Station, Texas. This role involves preparing dishes according to standard recipes, maintaining a clean culinary environment, and supporting various kitchen functions. The position requires a commitment to providing 'Howdy Hospitality' and embodying the Aggie Path of P.R.I.D.E. (Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, Excellence). The hospitality industry operates 24/7, and candidates must be available for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and special event days. Overtime may be expected when business levels require it. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling based on business needs.
Requirements
- 2-3 years previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
- Requires strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- At least 21 years of age
- Have a desire to exceed expectations
- An energetic personality
Responsibilities
- Checks with leadership for daily objectives.
- Support in setting up any a la carte stations required for mealtimes.
- Produces dishes in accordance with standard recipes and presentations established by the Chef.
- Preps, cleans, and organizes workstation.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary culinary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes.
- Performs banquet, kitchen line, and prep functions as directed by the Executive Chef, Hotel Chef and Sous Chefs.
- Completes mise en place before start of service.
- To include other duties as assigned.
