About The Position

The Food Services Team Member is a skilled cook that assists in preparing meals according to the menu. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. Must be skillful around the kitchen and able to multi-task. Experience in preparing meals from scratch and in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a cook.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.).
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Very good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends.
• Ability to follow recipes.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepares ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
• Prepares food using various utensils or grillers.
• Ability to prepare and serve meals in a timely manner.
• Keeps their workstation sanitized and orderly in the kitchen.
• Ensures all food and other items are stored properly.
• Checks quality of food along with utilizing time and temperature standards.
• Preparing meals from scratch when applicable.
