About The Position
Sentara Halifax Regional Medical Center is hiring a Cook for a Full-Time position, working 40 hours per week with a rotating schedule. The Cook is responsible for preparing all hot foods for the patient trayline, café, and functions. This includes, but is not limited to, entrees, vegetables, starches, and bakery items. Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital is part of Sentara Health, which is focused on improving health every day and is fueled by the expertise of a well-established medical staff representing more than two-dozen specialties. The hospital offers a range of services including cardiovascular, emergency, family birthing center, hospitalist program, imaging/radiology, laboratory, nephrology, orthopedic, rehabilitation, and surgical services. Requirements
- HS Diploma or Equivalent (Required; related experience may be accepted in lieu of diploma)
- Food Handlers Card (as required by local Health Department).

- Minimum of two years cooking in fine dining or healthcare setting
