About The Position
TerraBella Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join its community, The Haven and The Laurels at Carolina Place. The Cook prepares menu items and ensures food is prepared, portioned, and served according to the menu cycle and standardized recipes. The role requires attention to food quality, palatability, safety, organization, communication, and presentation.
Requirements
- Experience with production methods, portion control, and food-handling safety is required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and food presentation.
- Must be able to work weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in senior living is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare hot and cold menu items using the grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line.
- Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and served according to the menu cycle and standardized recipes.
- Taste and prepare food to assess its quality and palatability.
