About The Position
Creative Dining Services, located on the Dordt University campus in Sioux Center, IA, is looking to hire a full-time AM Cook. This role involves ensuring high-quality, properly seasoned, and nutritious food is provided safely, while working cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team. The position offers a creative and dynamic work environment where each day is different and exciting.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- ServSafe Certification preferred
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus
- Utilize safe food handling techniques at all times
- Store food items according to established standards of practice
- Maintain food production records and temperature logs
- Follow established work rules and regulations; ready for work in the kitchen, in uniform, at the scheduled time
- Maintain a safe, tidy and well-organized work environment at all times
- Communicate needs and concerns regarding food production and kitchen operation to supervisor appropriately and in a timely manner
- Support other kitchen employees
