Under the direct supervision of the Head Start Program Manager, this position is responsible for menu planning, meal preparation, and all purchasing related to Head Start and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) meal services and Summer Food Program. This role involves preparing meals for various program events, completing daily CACFP paperwork, collaborating with the teaching team, parents, and children, participating in training, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The position also requires assisting with health record reviews for allergies and nutritional assessments, ensuring kitchen sanitation standards, training staff and volunteers, and managing kitchen supplies and equipment.
