About The Position
Cook/ Manager needed for School food service program in the Edison, NJ area. This is a full-time position, working 7 to 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday. There are no weekends or holidays, but occasional evening caterings may be required. The role involves leading culinary operations in the kitchen, client interaction, and maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Strong culinary experience.
- K-12 school food service experience.
- ServSafe® certification.
- Catering experience.
- Proficient in technology, specifically Google & Microsoft products, and POS systems.
- Comfortable with regular client interactions.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Lead culinary operations in the kitchen.
- Interact with clients regularly.
- Order and manage inventory.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene regulations.
- Enforce the use of all safety equipment for staff.
- Oversee the kitchen area and staff needs.
