About The Position

La Posada at Pusch Ridge, an upscale continuous care retirement community in Oro Valley, AZ, is seeking an experienced full time Cook Lead to join our dynamic team! As a Cook Lead, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our residents and guests. You will assist in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring top-quality food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and sanitation. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, as shifts and days will vary based on operational needs.

Requirements

Two years of kitchen experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
Highly organized with great attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, guests, and team members.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Basic computer skills and experience with commercial kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, and supervise cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to uniform, appearance, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality, consistency, and professional presentation.
Monitor staff compliance with policies, including employee meals, breaks, time, and attendance.
Maintain high sanitation standards, ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed.
Assist in managing food ordering, inventory control, and kitchen organization.
Support the Executive and Sous Chefs in menu rollouts, production planning, and service meetings.
Foster positive relationships with residents, guests, and fellow team members.
