Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of culinary experience
  • Current Food Handler’s Card Required (within 30 Days of Hire)
  • Working knowledge of professional cooking techniques, knife skills, food safety, and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow recipes with minimal supervision while maintaining consistency and quality
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with strong time management skills
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Receptive to feedback with a strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs

Nice To Haves

  • luxury hotel and/or high-volume restaurant experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow recipes, portion controls, pars, and presentation specifics as set by kitchen management
  • Set up work station according to established expectations
  • Execute prep tasks from start to finish.
  • Work collaboratively with heart of house staff and front of house staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of all heart of house work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • Participate in deep cleaning of heart of house work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Follow set schedule and give appropriate notification for tardiness and absence
  • Conform to Department of Health requirements to run an A-level kitchen
