About The Position

A Cook II is responsible for assisting the sous chef with the preparation and presentation of the daily menus (especially high-quality specials, soups, stew and chilies). The Silver Spoon is an employee dining room.

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience required
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Produce flavorful dishes adhering to production standards and time constraints
  • Cook dishes according to recipes and develop new food selections in conjunction with the sous chef and executive chef
  • Keep service lines clean, change pans as needed, and ensure food selections are well-stocked and appropriately garnished
  • Properly store and rotate food to ensure freshness and avoid waste
  • Completed daily inventories
  • Assist servers during busy times
  • Other duties as assigned
