About The Position

Vicar’s Landing is seeking a skilled Cook II to support daily food production across dining venues. This role prepares a wide range of menu items while ensuring quality, consistency, and food safety standards are met. The Cook II works independently on assigned cooking tasks while supporting timely meal service for our residents and guests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen or comparable setting
  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic math
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary training or education
  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, or multi meal service operations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare soups, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes
  • Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and served with proper quality, temperature, and presentation
  • Support daily food production planning, including pre prep and supply needs
  • Maintain food production logs and temperature records
  • Keep assigned workstations clean, sanitary, and organized
  • Follow personal hygiene, safety, and department standards at all times
